The Cultural Arts program at SpArc Services launched a virtual program in 2020 to support participants isolated at home, when our building closed as a result of pandemic restrictions. The virtual program runs every weekday, and there is at least one class offered over the weekend that participants can join at their convenience. Staff that lead the virtual program offer many arts-related activities, including classes in art-making, poetry, movement and dance, screenwriting, and creative writing.
We also partner with a number of guest speakers and presenters from the arts community and other disciplines, such as health and disability studies. These have included a visit from a committee member of the American Indian Disability Summit and a rehearsal viewing from the BalletX Company.
