When a person widens their horizons, beautiful things happen. It’s through connections to our community that we discover, learn, and are exposed to new and exciting experiences.
It’s no surprise that the pandemic and mandatory shut-downs were challenging for most us, causing us to feel cut off from the outside world. This was especially true for individuals with disabilities who are often isolated and disconnected from their communities, even without the added challenge of a pandemic.
Once safe, we were able to provide support services at an art studio in a major Philadelphia arts hub. Artists in our programs were able to take classes, stretch their artistic muscles, and share their gifts with the world through online sales, art shows, and outdoor public exhibitions.
Through use of the studio space and the access to the community it provides, the participating artists began to show their work and even started to earn a living through sales.
Your donation today will enable talented artists with disabilities to branch out into the community.
